This costume was produced as part of my final project during my Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media.

The costume took inspiration by the costumes worn during Venice Carnival. This costume takes inspiration from women's dress of the 1780s/90s and that of the British Navy. The costume was constructed by adapting a commercial pattern to fit my model, and to suit my chosen design of a cutaway lightly boned jacket with a separate boned bodice underneath.
